The Same Page: Community Conversations and Speaker Series

Designed by Fernwood Publishing and hosted by the Halifax Public Libraries, this series aimed at supporting your informed decisions amid quickly changing information. These events will take place outdoors on the Back Plaza at Halifax Central Library at 5440 Spring Garden Road.

It is free and open to all.

ASL interpretation will be concurrent with the programming and light refreshments will be available.

The series schedule is as follows:

Public Health with Gaynor Watson-Creed, Associate Dean, Dalhousie Faculty of Medicine on Tuesday, August 30 from 6:30-7:30pm.

Communicating When There’s Conflict with Ajay Parasram, Associate Professor,Dalhousie International Development Studies and History; and Alex Khasnabish, Professor, Mount Saint Vincent Sociology and Anthropology on Tuesday, August 30 from 7:45-8:45pm.

Governments in Canada with Scott Pruysers, Professor, Dalhousie Political Science on Wednesday, August 31 from 6:30-7:30pm. Making and Changing Laws with Kostantina Northrup, staff lawyer, East Coast Environmental Law on Wednesday, August 31 from 7:45-8:45pm.

Fake and Real Information with Fazeela Jiwa, editor, Fernwood Publishing on Thursday, September 1 from 6:30-7:30pm.

Protesting 101 with Ardath Whynacht, Director, Mount Allison Interdisciplinary Health Studies Program on Thursday, September 1 from 7:45-8:45pm.
