Fernwood Fall 2023 Catalogue

Dear Reader,

Fernwood’s Fall 2023 books consider the pressures of living through this stage of colonialism and capitalism from multiple genres and perspectives. Our fiction titles use storytelling to deal with a collective sense of accelerated change, taking on issues like corporate equity, diversity, and inclusion efforts or the morality of assisted dying. Our non-fiction titles use deep research and analysis to bring readers’ attention to issues like evictions from rental housing and the resurgence of Indigenous sport, and while these may seem like disparate topics, they connected through the dynamics of colonialism and capitalism—societal structures that Fernwood books always aim to confront.

Yours in solidarity,

Fernwood Publishing
