The Winnipeg Fernwood crew spent the weekend at the Winnipeg Radical Book Fair a few weeks back. Aside from terrific workshops from Gord Hill, David Hugill and Elizabeth Comack, the Fair was host to some great books and pamphlets from local and Canadian publishers, retailers and magazines, as well as some important organizations such as Junto and Industrial Workers of the World. Plus, the weather was gorgeous, and Mondragon brought some killer roasted tofu wraps and their fantastic cookies (affectionately referred to as “inspirational cookies” here in the Winnipeg office).

The Fernwood table. Left vacant, probably because we were too busy inhaling food at the Mondragon table.

IWW and crowd shot.
The Fair was a great success. Lots of friendly faces came out to talk and listen. If you missed out, CKUW was there to record some of the workshops hosted by our authors. Be sure to tune in to Black Mask: The Frequency of Resistance every Wednesday from 5 to 6 pm.
