Now soliciting manuscripts for Fernwood Publishing’s Work and Labour Series
Under new editors Dr. Andrew Stevens and Dr. Charles Smith
Books in Fernwood’s new Work and Labour Series will provide timely and original analysis of work, employment, and the labour movement. They will offer fresh perspectives, strengthen the field and bring it into conversation with other disciplines, and explore how workers and a militant labour movement can intervene in multiple social and political crises.
These books help students and experts alike understand the interconnections of work, economics, and politics. They are also resources for activists and researchers seeking accessible writing on the impacts of globalization, colonialism, right-wing populism, technological innovation, and neoliberalism.
Series editors are seeking manuscripts of 35,000 – 50,000 words on the following subjects:
- Colonialism and Indigenous labour
- AI, unions, and work
- Union democracy
- Workers and labour confront the populist right
- “Just transition” and the future of work
