Firekeeper Victoria Book Launch

Join Fernwood Publishing and Royal Roads University for the launch of Firekeeper by four time author Katłı̨̀ą. Co-hosted by Mary-Anne Neal 

Katłı̨̀ą is a northern Dene woman who spends her time between her ancestral homelands in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories and Lekwungen Speaking Peoples Coast Salish Territory. She is the author of multiple books, including a memoir, Northern Wildflower, written as Catherine Lafferty. Katłı̨̀ą is a mother, grandmother and articling lawyer..    

Mary-Anne Neal, M.Ed. author of Under The Midnight Sun is an adventurer, educator, mother of four and friend of the Dene. She first visited the remote Sahtu region of Canada’s Northwest Territories in 1971 and returned in 2015 after a lengthy career as an educational leader. She and her husband live in Victoria BC, Canada, where they raised their four children.
