Hey everyone. It’s a cold, dark and rainy morning here in Winnipeg, but we’re persevering. Bad weather aside, I figured I’d let everyone know about a few Fernwood events we’ve got lined up.
First off is Chris Benjamin, author of Drive-by Saviours (forthcoming from Roseway Publishing). Chris will be doing a few launches in Nova Scotia, so if you’re on the East Coast, do yourself a solid and go check out Mr. Benjamin’s work.
Sept. 22: The Company House, 2202 Gottigen Street, Halifax NS, 20:00, with Kev Corbett, Shauntay Grant and Heather Kelday.
Sept. 25: The Annex Bookstore, 196 Tatallon Cres. Tantallon, NS. Book reading and signing.
Need some more convincing? Read this interview with Chris. It’s really interesting. Really.
Next up is Christopher Lind, who’ll be celebrating the release of his impressive Rumours of a Moral Economy in Toronto on Sept. 16th at Victory Cafe, 581 Markham Street.
Last but certainly not least is Allan Engler, who will be hurling stones through the windows of Capitalism with the launch of Economic Democracy on September 23rd at Lydia’s Pub, 650 Broadway Ave., Saskatoon SK. The launch starts at 7 pm and is co-sponsored by Turning the Tide Books.
