Holds that the working class alternative is economic democracy: equal human entitlement, social ownership, and workplace democracy. With economic democracy, communities–local, regional, and national–would own means of livelihood. All inhabitants would have a right to a voice and equal vote in their communities’ economic decisions. Workers in all occupations would democratically direct their labour time. When everyone has a right to participate in decisions, human wellbeing would replace private profit as the point of economic activity.
A registration fee of $20 (for all 3 sessions) is requested, but all are welcom. The book while not included in registration is available for purchase for $15.95 at People’s Co-op Books, 1391 Commercial Drive. Register by contacting the VDLC office: 604.254.0703 or office@vdlc.ca
